University of Montana seeks $47M to build new COT on golf course
UM officials continue work to start construction of some building projects, secure financing for others and detail plans for yet more. The University of Montana plans to ask the 2013 Montana Legislature for $47 million to build a new College of Technology facility on the existing University Golf Course (up from a request to fund just phase one of the project). UM soon will start construction of an academic center for Griz athletes and the Gilkey Executive Education Center. Future building plans in consideration include a new art annex, athlete locker rooms and weight room, and renovations to the Interdisciplinary Science Building and the Native American Center.
