MEP Announces New Director of Economic Development Julie Lacey
The Missoula Economic Partnership (MEP) is pleased to introduce Julie Lacey as MEP’s new Director of Economic Development.
Julie brings to MEP a wealth of business acumen, technical assistance, and experience with Missoula’s economic landscape. Most recently, she served as Director of Client Relations for MoFi, where she worked with key partners to connect capital to people and projects just outside the financial mainstream. She also oversaw MoFi’s Community Facilities lending program.
“I’m excited to join Grant and the rest of the MEP team during this period of growth for the organization and the Missoula business community, and I look forward to what we’ll accomplish together,” said Julie.
Prior to her 8 year tenure at MoFi, Julie worked as Director of Marketing at the University of Montana Bureau of Business and Economic Research (BBER). She is collaborative, passionate about MEP’s mission, committed to excellence, and understands the complex role economic development plays in strengthening our community.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Julie to MEP, and are confident that her skillset and experience navigating the complexities of community financial assistance will round out our stellar team and elevate our capacity to deliver tangible, meaningful outcomes to Missoula,” commented Grant Kier, MEP’s Executive Director.
Julie is also a violinist with the Missoula Symphony, and in her free time enjoys skiing, running, and spending time with her family. She holds an MBA from the University of Montana, and an undergraduate degree in economics and environmental studies from Bowdoin College.
